Tom Clemons

Tom Clemons - Line Dance Instructor & Choreographer

Tom Clemons was born and raised in Decatur Alabama, and has a background in theatrical arts, film and music.

Although new to the line dance community, Tom is no stranger to the stage. His love of the arts started at age 9 in children’s theatre and puppetry arts. He has performed in classics such as "Camelot”, “Oklahoma", "Wizard of Oz" and “Little Shop of Horrors”.

In 1984, Tom represented the US in a film competition and took first place in teenage division for the Photographic Society of America International Film Festival with the film "Enchanted". In1989, he competed in the "Birmingham International Educational Film Festival". This was an honor since only three film groups were selected from schools around the country to film and compete in the finals. His projects from two different schools took first and second place out of the three finalists.

At the age of 18, Tom Clemons had his first agent and started acting and dancing in a Repertory Company “Backstage Theatre". During this time, he traveled most of the eastern coast of the US teaching Drama and Stage Presentation.

After a long break, Tom found himself longing for an artistic outlet. When brought to his first line dance workshop, Tom knew he was home and he looks forward to all future experiences with the line dance community.
